Fashion & Talks: Little Things are Big

Until now, I still remember that day..
and I still doesn't believe it really happened in my life.
It's the day when I made fashion show for my clothing works, Loli Dreamland.

In here, I'm going to share a bit about my experience and the event <3
Anyway, this post will be long. Therefore I'll be divided it into 2 parts: Talks about my experience and some details of the event.

------------------------

About my experience,
If you know me, actually I'm a 'melancholic girl' type. Yes, I'm shy, definitely not a risk-taker, i would prefer to be quiet than speaking my opinion in the public.
I was never thinking to start new things and change my negative sides to a better me.
However, everything started to change when I have a goal and dream in my life.

Besides that, I'm so thankful for continuous supports from family, friends and also internet.
Now maybe you're wondering, why internet? lol.
I've read through internet, people's experience on their journey of changing mindsets, actions, etc..
What I learn the most is about, someone will never be happy/success if you doesn't go through hardships. Those hardships is the thing that makes people become he/she is right now.
Reading one people's story to another doesn't simply make bubble light on my brain. However when I experience a similar thing, then I knew it was definitely a lesson.

Before explaining too long about my background, I'll just cut it here~ hahah.
So, what makes me still doesn't believe what I did along the process and that day were because of these reasons..

First, I can speak alone in front of many people, without fears and shaking.
It's a very rare moment when I can do that way. Inside me, I feel scared and nervous, but happiness and dreams were flowing inside my head and body. It finally leads me to forget those fear and nervous.

Second,
Imagine when you plan an event. When a person organize most of the things, we could assume this person is a leader, right?
You can say that I'm the leader of that plan. However, I think what could make that event to be success is all about teamwork. Therefore, I'll conclude that nobody is the leader.
Also, I'm so blessed and thankful to have a great team.
Even, I got many supports and help from people which I didn't request previously. Every supports, either in words or actions, it's still illustrate clearly inside my head.

Third, I get new friends which I never expected before. I have some people whom I admire and previously, I never think that I can chat freely with these people. Not only that, I'm also getting closer to some friends when we rarely talk before.

So many things happen actually, but I just didn't remember one by one. hahaha.
I know, my journey is still super duper long, but I think it's good to keep a good memories. When I'm older, I want to read this post again so that I can smile from my heart when reading it..

-----------------------

About the event,
Some of you might be wondering about the outfits which is used on the fashion show, so I'm going to share some photos. Hopefully you got some idea~

I know this event was actually 3 months ago, but it creates memories for me~
For some of you who might wondering where did I go till I didn't update my blog, that's because I'm moving to Melbourne (for university purpose).

If you're also from Melbourne, left some comments below~ I wanna chat with you and get some new friends here~ I easily get bored recently because I got nothing to do here, unlike when I'm in Jakarta ;P

Looking through Memories & Resolutions

First of all, I want to say: HAPPY NEW YEARRR!!~
New year, means having new resolution and collecting some greatest/memorable moments in the previous year.

- Thinking back about the past (2013) what have I did? -

  • Self changes. Maybe some of you who already being friends with me, knew that I'm a nice, kind, and patient girl. However, looking back, I realized that I sometimes I act like children, act before thinking.. When I get upset, I did what I want to right at that time, eventhough it's not extreme. Right after I start my college, I tried to fix it, little by little.
  • Hobby. My parents started to acknowledge my skills at sewing. I notice that after I've made various outfit, they support me with what I love to do, cosplay and wear lolita. It's not that they doesn't allow me to do the hobby at first, but it's just making them realize cosplay and lolita are actually positive, not only something which is done for short term of fun.
  • Meet new friends & best friends. Through some Japanese events and new college I knew various great people and being friends with them.
  • Bangs. After about 10 years not having bangs at all (coz mom doesn't allow me), I decided to change my hairstyle by having straight bangs. lol.
  • Graduating from high school with good score.
  • Trying to lose some weight, but in the end I gain more weight compared to last new year OTL
  • Being thankful and happier in this new year - on many aspects.

For 2014, my resolutions are:
  1. Blogging more often. I realized sometimes I only have 2 post in a month, while sometimes I had 8. Therefore, I hope this year I could be informative and express my creativity through this blog by posting oftenly~ I also promise to have more quality pictures. Maybe you notice that there's some changes with my photos recently, right? Now I'm trying to edit all pictures as best as i could.
  2. Keep in touch with my best friends, cause I actually starting to lose friends right after graduation *sigh*
  3. Losing some weight. It's still on my wish list for this year, because I always feel insecure when I'm getting fat ;; Therefore I'll be more often in doing exercise, hopefully I could routinely do exercise 3-4 times in a week.
  4. Finish my college in mid 2014 and continue my university in Melbourne  :')
  5. Go to Japan with my own money. I'll try to search part time job at Melbourne and saving money for the trip. It's because I don't want to burden my parents and I think they could be proud when they know her daughter is independent.
  6. Having more wonderful memories and meet wonderful people.
  7. Care more with my skin. I usually very lazy to wash and clean my face at night, which I know it's really bad :/ Thank God that I don't have acnes.
  8. Create more wonderful outfit in terms of quality and quantity. This picture below, could summarize what I made during 2013. I hope one day i have a room which is full of my creations.

In short, I'm grateful for 2013 and I really hope 2014 will brought more smile to me :))

Have you did your resolutions? I really recommend it because it's important to know your goals and achievement~ :3

My love for fashion + Recent activities

Hello everyone :)
Maybe you've notice that I rarely post something on my blog lately :(
It's not because I have problems or I'm busy with college,
but actually I create a BIG plan for next month..

What is it? Are you curious? XD XD
Actually I made a plan for cosplaying an artwork from sakizou. She's truly an awesome illustrator, I've never easily fall in love with someone's works..
Still doesn't believe me? Well, just google on the internet by writing "sakizou artworks" and I'm really sure you will surely adore her works. LOL.

Okay, done with the introduction~

In short, I will be cosplaying as this character.. Her name is diamond :)

What's your first impression when seeing the picture above? Tell me! :D

As some of you already know that I can sew, so this time I took the challenge to make it by myself. It was such a HUGE challenge for me. However, if I could made this dress perfectly, that means I've improved a lot! *yeayyy*

Right now, I'm still working on the dress, which means I can't show the final product to you..
However, in this video you can see my "half" progress on the dress.
I think I only have like 3 weeks to complete the outfit, and it took me from day to night to accomplish the deadline. Am I crazy? I think almost~ HAHAHA.

Moreover, you can see some of my artworks in the video. I don't know if you could get the big picture of my love towards fashion in this video. However, at least you could knew a little piece of my life :)

Hopefully you can see the video clearly and sorry for some miss focus parts. Next time I'll try to improve on the video taking and editing. Ganbatte! X3

*PS:

-) I will wear the outfit on Anime Festival Asia (AFAID) 2013 next week, on Saturday. Therefore, if you see me wearing those outfit, don't forget to call my name or poke me XD hehehe.

-) The video is actually made to submit my registration to attend JENESYS 2.0 fashion program. Hopefully I get the opportunity to go to Japan and enlarge my knowledge & experiences towards fashion :')

Hopefully I could update more in this blog and accomplish the outfit soon!~
Wish me luck guys >w<

Sugar Bunnies and Kurumi dress

I just came home from retreat yesterday. I'm super tired, but it was really fun and worth :3

Actually, I want to post another reviews and I've prepared for it. However, the memory card of my camera were broken. All photos which belongs to the reviews are there, so I need to retake the photos :(
Finally, I decided to post my recent artworks to keep this blog alive xD

and here it is =)

Photo taken by kamego~

I also found this photo at a fan page. It is HaraShibuBara, they usually post many things which relates to Japan culture. Mostly they are about gyaru, harajuku, and lolita! I really love to see their posts xD hahahah.

The photos above are taken from ennichisai. I was so happy at that time, because there's a Japanese man who said "Kawaii" to me. Maybe it's only a simple word, but it means a lot to me~ LOL.
Furthermore, there was an aunty who praise my outfit at that time. She said that it's cute and the design is unique. When hearing it, I was extremely happy! xD

***

Do you know Date a live? If you see the picture below, it's kurumi outfit that she use for her date~ You can see the movie on episode 8.

This outfit is like a miracle to me, because the final product turn out great even though I was really busy preparing my piano concert at that time.

This piece is made for my friend~ :D

Well, I can't make many outfit on May-June. Hopefully, this month I can make many dresses. xD

Currently, I'm working at 2 biggest project for this year.
*Spoiler: 1 of them will use a light armor, so this time I will learn to make something new *v*
The other one is taken from a popular anime and movie, Paradise Kiss. I was deeply in love with the movie and characters, so I decided to cosplay it. hehe.

Thank you for reading my post and see you :) :)

why someone should be grateful

Actually, this post is not related to beauty or fashion. To be honest, I need to think almost twice to post this. However, I just thought that after reading this post you can found a new motivation.
Basically, it will be about my experiences. If you suddenly get bored when seeing my long writing, just close it, but I recommend you to keep reading.
Why?
You will never knew if you have a similar experience with me and maybe you will be grateful for it.

These days, so many things happen to me. Most of them are bad things. I don't know why, but it seems all of my hard works never turn out good..

First,
The IELTS test. I need to take this test as a requirement to enter my university.
I've done my best to study hard EVERYDAY, even I need to ask for approval to my school for not attending the activities after my final exam finished and use that time to take an IELTS course.
When I took the test, I'm 100% sure that I will be passed, because the test was easier than what I thought.
The results? I was failed. My overall score is 6.0, but the writing is 5.5
I only need to get 0.5 more and it made me dfdsfsdfsdfslgjskdjgksjdkgjsldgkj. *Super bad mood*

Second,
This past, actually I'm not 100% that I'll passed :P However, I want to try it, at least I will get some experience.
I don't know if actually I need to share these things :X However, yea I decided to tell it..
I join 2 auditions which held by MMK (moe moe kyun maid cafe) and angels. If you haven't know about MMK, it's actually a maid cafe that usually opens at AFA (anime festival asia). Just google it if you still don't have ideas xD LOL.

The second one, which is angels.. Actually it's an audition for cosplayer in my country, that later after some people are selected, they will be a team to do some cosplay together. So, basically they will do a freelance job as cosplayer in some events.  What I thought, someday Indonesia will known as country that has friendly and talented cosplayers because of this team. lol~
Finally.... I don't called for interview at MMK but get called for angels. hahaha.
At the end, after I've quarrel a little with my mom to join this things, I still didn't pass.
To be honest, I feel down when seeing the announcement, because I think there's still a hope that I will pass this time.

Third,
I've prepared many properties for my piano concert on the 15 June. The time management for making these things are not good. So, we (the committee) need to make everything in less than 1 month. Of course, almost everyday I feel super tired and almost get sick TTwTT
When the day come, I can't play well. There's a part where I stopped for 2-5 seconds and so many wrong notes! Erghh,, so sorry to Chopin for not playing your song well >w<

So, what's the point of telling those stories? Am I only complaining and get angry with it?
Absolutely not.

I never regret those things to happen. If I got the chance to go back and fix many things, I won't do it. Because, if I didn't experience it, I will never be better.

If I didn't failed on the previous IELTS test, I won't achieve a better score. Right now my overall score is 6.5 with 6.0 on writing, 7.5 on listening, 6.5 at reading, and 6.0 on speaking.  Moreover, I won't rely on God when waiting for the score. The 2nd test were harder, so I didn't think that I would pass. However, I believe God can do a miracle for me.
Other than that, I also made my parents proud because I was called to stand in the stage for getting 100 on English national exam and pass the ielts test with a good score.

If i didn't try my luck for joining the MMK and angels audition, I won't know the feeling when I got rejected and needs to improve in many things. Also, I also learn a lot that even though physical appearance is important, but socializing with others are more important. When people find something special from me, it means that I'm succeed.

If I didn't being a part as a committee, I will never experience on how to create an event and how to make it successful. Furthermore, I learned  a lot to make various things. Right now, I'm really good at using glue gun and wires :P (I rarely use them before. LOL xP)

There's still many things I should be grateful, but it will be too long if I list one by one. hahaha xD

If you feel really down and think you're not good, list down things that you feel happy in your life. For me it's really effective, because there won't be any people in this world who never feel happiness.
Every little things give a big impact.

So, I list 1 or 2 things that I'm happy everyday. If there aren't any, I'll just write a motivational quotes that I found on that day :P

Hopefully this will motivates you to reach goals and be better.
Don't forget to believe in God on everything, but you needs to work hard too~ hahaha xD

Remember,
be grateful for everything <3

SG haul + tutorial survey

Hi everyone <3
If you notice, I rarely post anything for the previous week. My life got super busy due to my piano concert which held on 15 June.
As a part of the committee, I need to make bunch of properties and attend some meeting :(

However, today I'm back to my routine as a blogger xD So, this will be a super late post after my first post of May haul. LOL.

***

I went to Singapore at the end of May with my grandma and mom. Also, we only spent 2 days there! LOL. But, I could still bought some items and I'm really happy about it~ hehe xD
When I flashback that time, I went to many places to get these items. The great thing is I don't get tired! *The power of shopping* LOL xD

However, I'm a little bit sad because I can't come to Funan Anime Matsuri. I really want to meet Kaname and the other guest star. Moreover, I want to visit the Maid&Butler Cafe too TT___TT
But that's fine, I just need to wait for AFA :3

So, what did I buy?

<3 A pink shoes. Bought from Vincci store

(Please pardon my big legs TT___TT)

<3 Rohto Cube eye drop and Hello Kitty Hand Sanitizer from Watson.
(will review the Rohto eye drop soon~ )

<3 Fabrics. There are so many cute fabrics in Singapore, but the price is a little bit pricey :P At least, the quality is really good!~ Bought from a store in People Park.

Last picture~
A photo of me after doing the piano concert. My face looks so freakin' asdjfkajskdfj :X

Anyway, I wanted to ask 1 question for all of you~ hehe.
In your opinion, should I make a video tutorial or tutorial in pictures?
Because I'm thinking to make another tutorial x)

Thanks a lot for your comments. I'm really happy to hear your opinion xD

May Haul

Hello everyone! ~

Since the new month has started, so I'm going to show you what I buy in May <3
However, this Haul will be divided into 2 parts~

Why?
Because I bought many things :X

The first part is taobao section :D

Actually, I ordered it on the end of April, but there was some problem in China so it took longer time until the items were finally arrived.

If you notice, I buy so many socks. Yeah, I need to admit it that I bought too many :X
*just realized it now* LOL.

However, how can I refuse not to buy these socks, they are too cute :(

Some of the socks have the same style, only the color is different~

If you notice, the brands of this socks are Caramella and Tutuana. Did you know them ?
They are SUPER popular in Japan~
*Fyi, this socks is not originally from Japan xD It's only a replica produced by taobao. They are much cheaper compared to original one. That's why, I decided to buy! xDD

I really want to show how it looks when I wear it, but things are so hectic these days :(
Next time, I surely will take a picture of the socks when I wear it~

Last, here's my new wig which was bought from Lucaille x3

This time, I chose a gradient wig. The color is so soft <3 <3
Will review it later! :D

I got so many cute things in this month. Maybe I should start to save money next month >w<
Anyway, I think I'm going to sell some of those socks, but only for people who lives in Indonesia only. Sorry for the others :X
If you get interested, please make sure to check my 'blog sale' tab later :D
