IBB makeup Challenge, all about Japan~

Hello~
Sorry for lacking of posts, this month I have my final exams so I really need to study dilligently >w<

Anyway, Indonesia Beauty Blogger has a new challenge in May, which the theme is anything that relates to Japan. This time they're collaborating with Japan Softlens.
OMG, I'm so excited when reading the news! XD

Basically this makeup is about Lolita~
For those of you who didn't know about lolita, I'll show some pictures of the well known Lolita girl in almost all country~

I wanted to create Classic Lolita makeup look but still match the color of the dress I'm wearing, so I choose chocolate, mint blue, and white as the color for eyeshadow.

Sorry I didn't make any tutorial for this makeup look, but I promise after my final exam is done I'll try to make several lolita makeup tutorial, since I actually wanted to share to all of you after I learn this makeup style from several sources. hehe.

[Artistry] Eye&Lip Makeup Remover

Hello everyone,

sorry for my absence for not blogging last week ;;;

Alright, now i've another product to share about my opinion with you :)

Packaging is great. The bottle is made from mixture of glass and plastic, so it's little bit heavy but it won't break if it drops. As for the design, I would give my thumbs up. LOL.

Why? because it creates an image of that this product is expensive by looking at its design.

(*note: design will be valued higher if it looks more pricey)

To make the liquid comes out, you need to shake several times and the liquid will drops little by little (just like circle lens water solution). This idea is great, because if you accidentally drop this remover, all of the liquids won't get out everywhere and become a waste.

The Scents is nice, it has sweet scent and not too strong. Also, for the feeling when using this remover, I can feel relaxing because it has cold sensation (like putting mask on your eye) XD Moreover it doesn't hurt my eyes when I tried to remove my waterline eyes. 

Other than that, I find that most of makeup remover will make my face oily (after removing all makeup), but this product doesn't create too much oil on my face~

This is the essential point of makeup remover, the Power to remove our makeup.

As an experiment, I choose Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner. This eyeliner is well known for the durability of waterproof and smudge proof.

Applying the eyeliner (only)

Then, I put few drops of the remover to a cotton..

Swap 1 time

Swap 2 times

After swap for the 3rd time, the eyeliner completely clean.

Last, for the price, it cost around IDR 200,000 which might be considered expensive for most people. Anyway, it's just a remover right? lol.

However, I knew that I shouldn't put too much pressure especially on eyes area when removing all eye makeup. Therefore, choosing a remover which have good power on removing all makeup would be the best decision.

Overall, I don't regret for buying this when comparing the price and the performance.

[Lancome] Gloss in Love

Eventhough Valentine has already passed, but I'm sure February is still a month of love, right? hahaha.
Today, I'm going to share a lip gloss product which I got from attending an event last year.




Lancome, Gloss in Love #341 (Pink Pampille)


My first impression of this gloss is, "wahh it looks so pretty, but I'm not sure whether I'm suitable to use it or not :/"
I don't really love to use bright color for lip gloss/lip stick. In the picture below, you can see that the color is similar to dark pink/hot pink. lol.











So, what Lancome claims about this product?

My thoughts about this gloss..

> the packaging is different from usual lip gloss. You need to click/press the button and it will be open.

> unique applicator which the curves will fit your lips. Therefore, it'll be easier to apply the gloss.

Sometimes, the packaging can lie from its product performance right?

but, after trying the gloss several times, I thought that this gloss is actually have soft color. The pink color doesn't really obvious which is still suitable to use it with nude lipstick. The color also have a little shimmer, which will makes your lips kinda glowing/stand out~

> For the texture itself, this gloss didn't make my lips dry. However, lip gloss is still lip gloss, it feels kinda sticky, but not that bad.

 Picture when I apply the lip gloss (on lower lip) and doesn't apply anything on upper lip.

For the price itself, it cost Rp. 280,000 or about $28. More expensive than other lip gloss. However, the quality of the product itself is still a match with the price.

[Maybelline] Black Hyper Sharp Liner

Sorry for my long absence for blogging ;;

Anyway, I made a makeup review today by introducing one of my favorite eyeliner:)

Maybelline - Hyper Sharp Liner

Basically it's a liquid liner in pen type. Let's jump to my opinion~

>> Packaging: Quite normal. It's not too bad nor awesome. The design is very simple but don't really provide attractiveness. At least the packaging is not made from cheap plastic.

>> Brush Tip: as you can see on the picture above, the tip is sharp and thin, which makes easier if you like to draw a wing or thin eyeliner.

>> Formula: this eyeliner is really quick to dry, so if I made a mistake in drawing the liner, I need to fix it quickly.. Moreover, the liquids is not sticky/really wet.
Other than that, I ever compare this eyeliner with dolly wink liquid liner in black, even though dolly wink still more black than Maybelline eyeliner, still I would say this eyeliner still good in case of color. The 'blackness' more or less the same with Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner.

>> Staying Power : To me, this eyeliner is okay for the staying power. I ever once use it on 12 am and when I want to remove the eyeliner (at 10 pm), the liner doesn't smudge everywhere.

>> Smudgeproof: I can't say this eyeliner is smudge proof, because after I rub the eyeliner, it started to smudge. However, when applying the eyeliner to the eyelid, as long you don't rub your eyes, it will be totally fine (the liner won't smudge)

>> Waterproof: I think the picture above would explain. Eventhough it states waterproof, actually it's not that true. After I use wet tissue to the eyeliner, it started to fade, but only some drops of water will not ruin the eyeliner.

So, here's my conclusion..

PROS
+ Thin Brush tip
+ quick to dry
+ Give natural result (in case the black color)
+ Good staying power
+ Affordable, around $7

CONS
- Simple packaging design
- Not waterproof
- Kinda easy to smudge if you rub it with your hand.


In short, I still would recommend this eyeliner if you're searching for a good quality eyeliner in affordable price :)

[Review] Kate eyeshadow

Actually, these eyeshadows are belong to my sister xD However, she let me to use some of her makeup. These products have become one of my favorite eyeshadow. 

Compared with another eyeshadow that I've tried, Kate has become my 2nd favorite after Coastal Scents.

The packaging is so <3 <3
You can easily see from the outer side for the color you want to pick! (no need to open the case 1 by 1, so it saves time)
Black is the simple yet elegant color to choose! nice packaging I would say :))

(actually the eyeshadow sponge are provided. However I lost them ;;w;;)

See those colors? It's so pretty right?
The colors in the eyeshadow is very wearable. Based on my experience, the left side really suits casual/smoky looks and right side for sweet/glamour looks. All colors are shimmery.

What I love more about this eyeshadow that the texture is nice. They won't fall out easily and doesn't get messy easily.

As for the pigmentation, I would say that the color of light shade doesn't shows, especially beige-white from GN-1. In contrast, the medium-dark colors are great. They're pigmented and could last long on my eyelids (about 6-8 hours).
However, I think this eyeshadow wouldn't suit ppl who have oily face. Because when I use wet tissue to clean my hand, after about swapping 5 times, the colors disappear. Moreover, 1 time swap is enough to clean the eyeshadow using makeup remover.

Lastly, I still would say that PU-1 is my favorite~ :D

+ Travel friendly

CONS
- light color doesn't show
- easy to disappear (with water, especially oil type remover)

[The Face Shop] Face It Aura CC Cream Review

Today I'm going to share one of my favorite CC Cream :) Sometimes I'd prefer to choose CC cream rather than foundation/BB Cream for daily activities. 

Want to know why? Read more for the review~

• Packaging: Basically the color is peach pink which I really love, because I love pastel color. lol. It comes with a mirror and sponge. It's useful especially when I need to do my makeup in car,  I don't need to bring additional mirror. However, this CC cream is rather heavy, for travelling, I still suggest to bring travel size/sample.

To make the CC cream come out, press the white button just like the photo above. It's unique, I love how it's different compared to other brand.
Moreover, I usually needs about 2-3 full pump to cover my entire face (*note: my face considered rahter big).

• Formula: Light. It's really suitable to use for daily activities. Compared to BB cream, CC cream is more lighter and doesn't feel 'heavy' at all.

• Coverage: medium coverage. By using this CC cream, it could cover pores and small acnes. It also makes my face glowing.

Mostly CC cream are known that their coverage is not as good as BB cream, but I found that this product's coverage is as good as BB cream.

• Color: I choose #2 which looks natural on me. My skin could be considered white, but I still prefer to choose no. #2 rather than #1. #1 color could whiten my face, but I found that my face would turn 'strange'. hahahah.

In conclusion,
PROS: 
> Comes with mirror and sponge
> Unique packaging
> Light
> Create glowing face

CONS:
> Rather pricey if compared to other Koreans' CC Cream. The price would 2x from Etude House's CC cream.
> not suitable for darker skin. The color only came in 2 option.


I have been using this CC cream for almost 1 year, I'll absolutely buy this CC cream again after I finished my 'old' CC cream.

Dr. Jart+ V7 launching event

Finally AFAID event has finished, so it means my busy routine for making my costume is done :P
I will post about my experience on AFAID too on the next post.

and today's post will be about an event that I attend 2 weeks ago. I was invited by Dr. Jart+ through my email and I'm super excited! I never thought that I'll be invited to an event, so I rather shocked when I received the email. hahaha.

On that day, I was rushing to come on time, because I don't come with my friend and I don't know have ideas who'll come that day. Therefore, it will be better if I came before the presentation started or else, I will look so stupid because I confused what should I do when I enter the venue.

When I arrived, there were some staffs waiting for us (the guest), so they welcome me and ask me to write my profile in the guest book. Next, I went to take a picture as a souvenir~

Inside the room, I looked around and as expected, I don't know anyone in the room. *so sad TT^TT*
Then I decided to take a tour and see the products Dr. Jart have...

Here's a collection which will be presented in today's event..
V7 series

They also prepared some snacks for us before the presentation began.
I had Assam Milk Tea with Big bobba and ddukbokki (made by the lab). This "Nai Cha" drink shop actually one of my favorite and I was amazed. Who would wonder if there will be snacks which is as good as that? hahahaha.

First of all, Vera Liono  (Brand Manager of Dr. Jart in Indonesia) told us the background the background of Dr. Jart. This brand launched in 2004 and distributed to many country such as Japan, Hongkong, US, England, Thailand, Phillipine, and Singapore.


Secondly, Dr. Kevin A Maharis (Dermatologist) gave us some tips and trick to choose a good skin care for us. Some important things which I noted are..

1.  Toner is not a must, so it's your choice whether to use it or not. Also, take a good look at the ingredients, if you see a word 'astringent' DON'T USE IT! Because it means the toner contains alcohol which is not good for your skin.
2. For sun protection, you will need products which contains SPF (to block UV B) and PA++ (to block UV A). Most people, including me usually only know we only need the SPF for sun protection.
3. For men, don't choose product which is specialized for men, because usually it will dry your skin. (If you can, tell your friends and relatives, because most people don't know about it)

and finally, the presentation began..

This brand are free of artificial scents, coloring, preservatives, and alcohol. Therefore, basically it's suitable for people who has sensitive skin. 

Currently Dr. Jart+ has launched 4 series. They are:

• V7 Series (toner, serum, emulsion, spot treatment, Beauty Balm)

It's specialized for the regeneration of damaged skin and contains 7 vitamin.

• World Best BB

There are 5 kinds of BB cream which you can choose based on skin types.

It's free from artificial preservatives and made from KIMCHI (This sound a lil funny to me. LOL)

Personally I think Dr. Jart+ is an interesting product. I've tried the toner and serum from V7 collection and I could feel the cool sensation to my skin, which also made my skin moist~
However, the downside of this brand is they doesn't provided color option for all BB cream. I've tried the BB cream and it's only suitable for light skin :/ Luckily I have light skin so I could try using the BB cream. hahaha XD


Last, when I wanted to go home, they gave me a goodie bag. I was rather shocked when I opened the bag, because all of the products are in real size :O They're so generous :') LOL.
