[B.Liv] Off with those heads

Few weeks ago, I was emailed by B.liv team to try one of their product, Off with those heads.

This product is specialized to remove blackheads and whiteheads. Also, to reduce large pores size.

Sounds interesting?

Their aim to create Off with those heads is to help people who has blackheads and whiteheads problem. Therefore it's really suitable for tropical countries.

Why?

After experiencing to live in other country with 4 season (Australia), I feel that I got more skincare problems (such as acne and blackheads) while I'm in Indonesia.

Ingredients

Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Carbomer, Propylene Glycol, Menthol, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Diazolidiny Urea.

Let's jump to my review..

Packaging

This product comes in plastic bottle. Eventhough I prefer it to be made from glass (to looks more classy), but the materials they use for the packaging is good (doesn't made from cheap type of plastic). From the bright side, this item is light and easy to fit in your skincare bag.

Once you open the cap, there's a pump and the liquid will come.

Scent

The scents is nice and doesn't stings so I think you don't need to worry about it~

Also, rather than having particular scent, actually the cooling feels stands the most. 

The first time I apply, it kinda stings my eyes. However it doesn't happen on my next application.

Texture

It's designed as serum-type, so you can apply it easily. When it comes out, it looks like gel, but actually it's watery.

Below is my before and after picture after using this product for 2 weeks (I use it frequently every night).

*Actually if you use it every morning and night (as directed), the result might be better than mine.

On before picture, I took the photos 1 day after using porepack. I don't have any whiteheads but I have many blackheads on my nose and my pores are kinda big. Eventhough I have normal skin face type, but my T-zone are dry (especially in nose area).

On after picture, my skin is improving. I have few blackheads, but it can be get rid easily by gently wipe my nose after washing my face. Therefore, I don't have to squeeze anymore to make the blackheads comes out.

I also feel that my nose now creating enough oil so that my nose aren't dry anymore and my pores are getting smaller.

**note:

Result might differ for people with different skin types with me.

I'm not sure for the result with people who have oily skin types. Also, since I don't have whiteheads, I don't know if this product could removes whiteheads. You may refer to other reviews for better understanding :)

[Dr Jart+] Moist moist series

Hello, today I have 2 skincare items which I'm going to review..

Water-Max Sleeping Mask & Water-sure Gel Cream

First, I'm going to review the water-sure gel.

What Dr. Jart+ claims?

This refreshing, oil-free gel cream binds moisture to the skin for long-lasting hydration without stickiness, while olive leaf and cranberry strengthen the skin barrier to boost elasticity.

The packaging is so pretty! I think you might also agree with me.

I think the 'glass' package makes it looks classy <3

Water-sure gel is actually a type of moisturizer. Eventhough it's in the form of gel, but the formula doesn't sticky. Everytime I use this product, the gel absorbs well into my skin and I feel refreshed. When using this product regularly, I can see the improvement on my face, it becomes smoother (like baby skin).

As for the scents, it's smells nice and not too strong.

People with sensitive skin can also used this gel (because actually my face is kinda sensitive with skincare).

Brief description of Water-max sleeping mask from Dr. Jart+ =

Sleep is when the body repairs itself. Make use of this precious healing period with this weightless, leave-on mask that creates a protective barrier on your skin, locking in vital moisture and nutrients while you “beauty sleep.” Hyaluronic acid macromolecule feeds continuous moisture deep into the dermal layer, replenishing skin’s nighttime water supply, while olive leaf and cranberry strengthen the skin barrier to boost elasticity. A fragrant blend of nine essential oils promote a deep, comforting sleep, leaving your skin ultimately revitalized and you refreshed.

The product is packaged with a pump. To make the mask comes out, just press the middle button (as pictured below)

This mask is kinda different with other mask, the texture for this mask is light and not very sticky. Therefore, you can use this mask when you sleep all night long. 

I usually only apply a thin layer over my face before I go to sleep. The next day, I'll clean up the mask by using warm/cool water.

See the picture below? Yes the mask is almost invisible. It's similar like when you're using moisturizer at night/morning.

I recommend to use this mask after you've clean your face, apply toner/moisturizer, serum, etc. and the last, you can use this before sleep :)

The next day when I woke up, I already can feel that my face are getting smoother and my pores can be smaller a little bit. I find that this mask is a bit more effective than using regular mask :P

After using this product regularly, of course it helps a lot in improving my face skin condition. At least, even though I'm lacking of sleep, acnes and pores don't always come on to my face.

Overall, I think both of water sleeping mask and gel are good products. Those 2 products could improved my skin to be better and healthier. However, among 2 product I would say that I really love water-max sleeping max, because I already can see my skin improvement the next day after wearing it XD The downside of the products is just the price, it's kinda expensive (about $38-$40).

Why these 2 items?

If i should choose between skincare or makeup products, I would definitely choose skincare first.. When I have a nice and healthy skin, I would definitely proud (?) and confident to go anywhere even with my bare face~ hahaha.

Currently, with overload projects and work stuffs related, I'm lacking of sleep. Therefore, acne  and (what I hate the most) dark circles started to appear.

This post has been postponed for a long long time due to my activities as a new university student TT__TT
However, yes I miss blogging. To do review, taking pictures, writing about my thought, etc..
Therefore, I'm happy cause finally I could write again in this blog <3


Anyway, I got a BB cream from attending Dr. Jart+ event, named V7 Beauty Balm..

What they claim?
- A multifunctional, antiaging, protecting, and perfecting BB cream with Flexitone technology to provide flawless, natural-looking coverage 
- Features SPF 30 sun protection 


About my thought:

> Packaging
I really love the design. Recently, I adore the simple design but looks classy. Honestly, to me it's hard to achieve. I still prefer making detailed design~
It maybe looks the same with other packaging in terms of BB cream. However, plastic is chosen as the base (which make it light) and the shape is tube (which won't take much place in your makeup case).

> Formula
Light. A good sign for 'worth to buy' products is that you didn't feel heavy when wearing the makeup. and it's happen with this BB cream.
Moreover, it's neither sticky nor watery, which make it easy to apply the BB cream.



> Scent
I don't know what kind of scent it is, but I love the scent. It doesn't smell like cosmetic, which I really hate. If I could describe the scent in 1 word, that would be 'fresh'

> Coverage
It's good! The coverage is medium-high. Perfect for daily wear.
However, if you search for a high coverage type, I think it's better to use foundation (because mostly BB cream only offer medium-high coverage). Other than that, it has whitening effect (temporary), which could made my face more brighter without being freaky.

> Staying Power
The coverage effect could last up to 12 hours (used indoor). However, for normal activities (I like to move around, so it will made me sweaty) it will last around 8 hours. Not bad huh? X3

(After using the BB cream, my face becomes glowing and brighter. Of course it helps a lot in making flawless face)

Anyway, my dark circle aren't really bad that time and I don't have many acnes. Therefore this BB cream is good enough to cover my face. I think if you have many acnes you also need a Great concealer to create flawless face..

PROS
+ Nice packaging
+ easy to carry (not heavy)
+ Good staying power
+ Medium-high coverage
+ Light (formula)
+ Nice scent

CONS
- Rather hard to make the bb cream comes out (required to push harder)
- Only 1 size available, not suitable for dark skin.


Rating? 9/10
*Personally, I love this product, because of its effect and luckily it fits my skin color.

Dr. Jart+ V7 launching event

Hello ~~~
Finally AFAID event has finished, so it means my busy routine for making my costume is done :P
I will post about my experience on AFAID too on the next post.

and today's post will be about an event that I attend 2 weeks ago. I was invited by Dr. Jart+ through my email and I'm super excited! I never thought that I'll be invited to an event, so I rather shocked when I received the email. hahaha.

On that day, I was rushing to come on time, because I don't come with my friend and I don't know have ideas who'll come that day. Therefore, it will be better if I came before the presentation started or else, I will look so stupid because I confused what should I do when I enter the venue.

When I arrived, there were some staffs waiting for us (the guest), so they welcome me and ask me to write my profile in the guest book. Next, I went to take a picture as a souvenir~

Inside the room, I looked around and as expected, I don't know anyone in the room. *so sad TT^TT*
Then I decided to take a tour and see the products Dr. Jart have...

Here's a collection which will be presented in today's event..
V7 series

They also prepared some snacks for us before the presentation began.
I had Assam Milk Tea with Big bobba and ddukbokki (made by the lab). This "Nai Cha" drink shop actually one of my favorite and I was amazed. Who would wonder if there will be snacks which is as good as that? hahahaha.

First of all, Vera Liono  (Brand Manager of Dr. Jart in Indonesia) told us the background the background of Dr. Jart. This brand launched in 2004 and distributed to many country such as Japan, Hongkong, US, England, Thailand, Phillipine, and Singapore.


Secondly, Dr. Kevin A Maharis (Dermatologist) gave us some tips and trick to choose a good skin care for us. Some important things which I noted are..

1.  Toner is not a must, so it's your choice whether to use it or not. Also, take a good look at the ingredients, if you see a word 'astringent' DON'T USE IT! Because it means the toner contains alcohol which is not good for your skin.
2. For sun protection, you will need products which contains SPF (to block UV B) and PA++ (to block UV A). Most people, including me usually only know we only need the SPF for sun protection.
3. For men, don't choose product which is specialized for men, because usually it will dry your skin. (If you can, tell your friends and relatives, because most people don't know about it)

and finally, the presentation began..

This brand are free of artificial scents, coloring, preservatives, and alcohol. Therefore, basically it's suitable for people who has sensitive skin. 

Currently Dr. Jart+ has launched 4 series. They are:

• V7 Series (toner, serum, emulsion, spot treatment, Beauty Balm)

It's specialized for the regeneration of damaged skin and contains 7 vitamin.

• World Best BB

There are 5 kinds of BB cream which you can choose based on skin types.

• Most Moist ( Mist, Serum, Gel Cream, Sleeping Mask, Hydrogel Mask, Blemish Base)

It's free from artificial preservatives and made from KIMCHI (This sound a lil funny to me. LOL)

The focus is to keep the moisture of our skin.

• Ctrl-A (Spot corrector, Sun protector, spot out, moisturizer, toner, Serum, liquid foam, spot cover, beauty balm)

This series will be suitable for those who has acne skin.

Personally I think Dr. Jart+ is an interesting product. I've tried the toner and serum from V7 collection and I could feel the cool sensation to my skin, which also made my skin moist~
However, the downside of this brand is they doesn't provided color option for all BB cream. I've tried the BB cream and it's only suitable for light skin :/ Luckily I have light skin so I could try using the BB cream. hahaha XD


Last, when I wanted to go home, they gave me a goodie bag. I was rather shocked when I opened the bag, because all of the products are in real size :O They're so generous :') LOL.
So, here's the products that I got :D
